All my guided fly fishing trips include 4WD pick up (8am or earlier) and drop off (6pm) at your accommodation, as well as lunch, refreshments, fly fishing equipment free of charge (Sage rods and reels, Simms waders, boots, flies, tippet etc). Gift vouchers available.

Guided fly fishing options

Full day $950 one angler, $990 two anglers.
Half day $550 one angler, $590 two anglers.
Hourly tuition rate $100 with a 2 hour minimum.

Helifishing

The above daily rates apply, but with an extra charge for helicopter charter. I use the following operators: Aspiring Helicopters, Alpine Helicopters, and Backcountry Helicopters. Charter rates from $3200 for drop off and pick up.

Jet boat fishing

A good option on windy days, this allows us access to some backcountry water that is out of the wind at a lesser charge than helifishing. Rates from $350 per angler in addition to the above guiding charges.

Overnight camp outs

These include 4WD transport or helicopter charter (extra charge), staying in private huts.
It’s a great way to really get into the backcountry and enjoy plenty of fly fishing with comfortable hut accommodation, including great food and wine. All camping gear supplied. Overnight charges are $300 for one angler and $100 extra per angler in addition to the above guiding rates. A charge to use private huts and farm tracks applies for some trips – $50 per day per angler.

Tuition

As one of only 3 guides that are qualified fly casting instructors in the Wanaka region, I am happy to take give fly casting lessons that are designed to get you casting proficiently, and provide exercises that you can go away and work on in your own time. I recommend a 2 hour lesson for fly casting at a rate of $200 for the session, or if you want to combine tuition with a day out guided fishing, I find this is an enjoyable and practical way to be introduced to the gentle art of fly fishing. Airport Transfers from Queenstown to Wanaka

I am happy to arrange transfers, either by shuttle or private transfer. Shuttles start at around $60pp, and private transfers are $180 total for up to 4 people, and $40 extra pp over that.
